WE WANT TO KNOW
What caused your stroke? Do you know? Every year, about 200,000 stroke survivors leave the hospital without an answer to this question. They are told their stroke was cryptogenic, or without a known cause.
Strokes of unknown cause, or cryptogenic strokes, account for about 1/3 of all strokes. Not knowing what caused your stroke can make it harder to prevent another one. Not knowing can also cause you to live in fear, especially when you leave the hospital with more questions than answers.
I know, I had a stroke. I was told my stroke was cryptogenic as well. This is what is most bothersome to me about stroke. My family and I spend over a year not satisfied with good enough and went searching and fighting to find answers. We prevailed but it wasn’t something you should have to do.

We’re working now to do better. My co-founder and I are working on a project of stroke discovery to interview doctors and stroke rehab specialists to dig deeper, to improve diagnostics, track outcomes and get answers to your questions. We believe in better outcomes and about achieving better brain health and improved long term stroke survivorship.
We believe we can and should have better technology-enabled solutions to Enable and Support Life After Stroke.
