“The Doctors” Need to Get it Right on PFO Closure

If you agree with my previous post on PFO Closure and Patient Respect (and how the Doctors got it wrong)

please SEND YOUR REMARKS Directly to The Doctors and let them know.

Here’s How: http://thedoctorstv.com/main/ask_our_doctors

Here was mine:

Think you need to do a “do over” on your show on PFO (patent foramen ovale) and stroke risk. You featured Bret Michaels and his path to PFO closure. It is simply not that easy for most PFO patients.  Dr. Stork especially needs to make this correction in his description “you get it fixed”.   As a stroke survivor from a PFO and advocate for better patient care and education for PFO/stroke education  I believe from personal experience Dr. Stork really missed the mark.

Pls. contact me so I can help explain why:

Here’s the shortlink to a post I just did on why you need to do a “do over” to be fair and accurate to your viewers.

I also serve as the VP of a non profit, the PFO Research Foundation trying to help patients get answers and advocate for better patient care.  I hope this explains  why I couldn’t excuse the inaccuracy of the show that was just brought to my attention.
